Tribal Journeys 2024

The Power Paddle to Puyallup Youth Canoe Journey 2024 will start in La Push on July 19 during Quileute Days, landing in Neah Bay on 7/21, Pillar Point on 7/22, Lower Elwha on 7/23-24, and Jamestown 7/25 and continue to stops along the way. At each stop they will be welcomed by the hosting tribe and joined by others from Vancouver Island, British Columbia and Puget Sound. This year's Tribal Journey starts as early as July 19 and concludes with ceremonies from July 30-August 6th, is hosted by the Muckleshoot Tribe. https://muckleshootcanoejourney.com/ These items, some of which are only available for in-library use, give some background to this annual event that includes Canoe Families from along the Washington Coast, Puget Sound and British Columbia.
