Description
Tells the tale of a holiday tradition that now lives into the 21st century. In December 1944, American soldiers from the 28th Infantry Division were stationed in the village of Wiltz, Luxembourg and wouldn't be going home for Christmas. Gifts and treats were donated by the soldiers of the 28th to the town's children, cooks baked sweets, and Corporal Richard Brookins borrowed clothes from a priest and rode through town as St. Nicholas, giving to the town.
