Description
In the 1950's, Jess Taylor had a dream of creating an exceptional housing development on his ridge land south of his dairy farm in Clallam County on the Olympic Peninsula. The dream was a good one but the realization of that dream was not easy. Problems arose, agreements were not honored, the courts became involved, funds were embezzled, lawyers were hired, new developers did not perform and forecloseure followed. In spite of the problems, SunLand today is a thriving community nestled at the foot of the Olympic Mountains to the south, and the Strait of Juan De Fuca to the north. Residents enjoy casual living, a variety of recreational activities, and magnificent scenery in a rural and friendly atmosphere. They are living Jess Taylor's dream.
