Description
Matilde, a woman in her sixties, has lived with her husband Porfirio since she was fifteen years old, in a relationship of violence and contempt for her. One day, Porfirio dies and leaves her alone in the company of her cat Fidel, but Matilde believes that Porfirio continues to torture her with his appearances and cannot be released. As if that were not enough, his insurance pension to survive is canceled. Miguel, her neighbor, a young and skilled merchant, will take pity on Matilde, and little by little, they will develop a deep friendship that will help them break free of their old beliefs and live the life they always wanted.
